đź”—Custom Domain for n8n Still Pending

Viewed 162

Hi Claw.Cloud Community,

I added a custom domain to my public address for an n8n deployment through your App Store. The domain is registered with Namecheap, and I’ve correctly pointed the DNS (CNAME) to the Claw.Cloud address provided. DNS propagation looks fine on external tools like DNSChecker.

However, the status still shows “Pending” even after more than 4 hours, and the domain is not yet accessible.

Could you please let me know:

How long does the custom domain configuration typically takes?

If there’s anything else I should check or do to trigger the activation?

Looking forward to your guidance.

Best regards,

📡 Custom Domain Setup for Cloudflare Users

Step 1: First, add the following CNAME record in your DNS provider (e.g., Cloudflare):

Type: CNAME

Name: n8n (or your desired subdomain)

Target: [abck].ap-southeast-1.clawcloudrun.com

Proxy: DNS Only (gray cloud)

Step 2: Next, go to your Claw Cloud dashboard and add your custom domain (e.g., n8n.yourdomain.com) under the Network section.

Step 3: Wait 5–10 minutes for Claw.Cloud to verify the domain and issue the SSL certificate. The status will change from Pending to Active.

đź”’ Tip: Once SSL is active, you can re-enable the Cloudflare proxy (orange cloud) if needed.
✅ Note: These exact steps worked perfectly for me using Cloudflare — domain was active in under 10 minutes!

Thank you, @rk.
I missed the proxy settings needed to enable DNS-only mode.

I'm the same, I've been waiting for more than 2 days and haven't succeeded yet

Thanks for sharing your previous experience in resolving this. I’ve moved the domain to Cloudflare and set the proxy status to “DNS Only” (grey cloud), but the status on Claw.Cloud still shows as pending.

I also tried accessing the domain directly, but it shows SSL certificate issues. I’ve attached screenshots for your reference.

Let me know if any additional steps are required.cloudflare.jpgError.jpgpending.jpg

Please delete the domain from Claw.Cloud as well as from Cloudflare. Once it's removed from Claw, a new CNAME will be generated. Add that CNAME to Cloudflare and wait a few minutes before re-adding the custom domain in Claw. This usually resolves the issue. If it doesn't, only the support team will be able to assist further.

Thank you for your help — it really means a lot.
I followed the steps you shared: I removed the custom domain from n8n, generated a new CNAME reference, deleted the previous one from Cloudflare, and added the new one. I also turned off the proxy, so it's set to DNS Only (grey cloud).

However, the address still shows as "Pending" on Claw Cloud and hasn’t been approved yet.
Could you please let me know how I can get in touch with their support team?

New Update:

After switching the Cloudflare proxy from DNS only (grey) to proxied (orange), Claw Cloud now shows the custom domain status as "available" instead of "pending". However, the domain is still not accessible in the browser—it displays a security warning, likely due to an SSL certificate issue or a related configuration problem.

I've attached screenshots for reference. Let me know if support was able to resolve this,or if I should try using a different domain.
